Secretary General
Honourable Chairs, Distinguished Delegates, and Esteemed Guests,
Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of serving as a delegate in Model United Nations conferences at Diyafah International School, Abu Dhabi. It's an experience that has greatly shaped my leadership, diplomacy, and organizational skills. As a delegate, I have represented countries across a wide range of committees, from the General Assembly to specialized agencies, each requiring in-depth research, adaptability, and strong public speaking skills.
It is my great honour to welcome you to the upcoming Diyafah International School MUN, where I will be serving as your Secretary General. Over the course of this conference, we will engage in dynamic debate, tackle pressing global issues, and work together to craft innovative solutions through diplomacy and collaboration.
Model United Nations is not only an opportunity to represent nations but also to challenge ourselves—to think critically, speak persuasively, and listen with an open mind. As delegates, your role is to embody the spirit of international cooperation while standing firm in defending your assigned country’s interests. I encourage you to research thoroughly, prepare position papers, and come ready to engage in constructive dialogue.
MUN is more than a simulation—it is a space to cultivate diplomacy, leadership, and the spirit of international cooperation.
I encourage each of you to engage wholeheartedly, think boldly, and respect every perspective. Together, let us make this conference both meaningful and memorable.
Thank you, and I wish you all the very best.
Sincerely,
Secretary General of DISMUN
