Disarmament and International Security (DISEC)

Dear Delegates of General Assembly First Committee (DISEC),

It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you all to DISMUN as your Chair of the Disarmament and International Security Committee. My name is Muhammad Huzaifa Khalid from Year 13B, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to lead this committee.

One of the greatest strengths of MUN lies in its diversity of thought. Whether you find yourselves in agreement or disagreement, seeing delegates defend their positions and approach complex issues from different viewpoints is what makes debate so meaningful. As Chair of DISEC, my goal is to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable contributing, so that each of you can gain the most from this experience. Given the critical global topics that DISEC addresses, I am confident our discussions will be both significant and memorable.

I look forward to your ideas, your diplomacy, and a productive conference. I am confident your passion will make this committee a success.
