Shivar, an A level student at Diyafah International School, is an avid reader, passionate artist and gamer, and a biology enthusiast. Well versed in the world of public events and tournaments, having a strong affinity for literature and poetry and a confident MC voice, he strives to achieve well in every competition his school has to offer, which in turn sparked his love of debating and public speaking. The Secretary General of the first inter-school DISMUN, and the previous General Assembly Co-Chair, he is extremely excited to take on this new responsibility along with his fellow chair members. He eagerly awaits the energetic bustle and electrifying atmosphere that comes with each iteration to DISMUN, and warmly welcomes all delegates to the first ever inter-School DISMUN!
Marwan Ahmed Mousa

Marwan, an exceptional Year 11 IGCSE student, possesses a profound passion for astrophysics and quantum physics, accompanied by a remarkable aptitude for mathematics. His remarkable abilities extend beyond academia, as he is an accomplished public speaker and debater, showcasing an exceptional command of critical thinking and an aptitude for presenting compelling arguments even on the most contentious subjects. Appointed as the Deputy Secretary General for the DISMUN, Marwan eagerly anticipates utilizing his exceptional qualities to transform the MUN experience into an unparalleled challenge, featuring thought-provoking judgments and intricately crafted questions that push participants to their limits. Joel Thomas Manimala
Director of Logistics and Communications
Joel is an IGCSE student in Year 11 and has been at Diyafah for 10 years. Joel enjoys watching F1 and playing a variety of sports and is always ready to help anyone out when the need be. Helping initiate the first MUN at Diyafah, he is an enthusiastic debater who also enjoys meeting new people all the time! A systematic person who sees purpose in every action, Joel is already tackling the role of Logistics Director, and fuelled by his passion for socialising to adhere to the duties as the head of communication for DISMUN. With these responsibilities, he hopes to make the event run seamlessly and hopes that everyone attending DISMUN has an unforgettable experience!
NEILADITYAA SURESH
Programme Director
Neiladityaa Suresh, an hardworking A level student who is multi-talented in extra-curricular activities such as maintaining a martial arts portfolio of being a karate black belt and having an interest in music too. All while having a deep interest in mathematics and computer science who is a passion driven tenacious member of the MUN working committee. Having won the Best Delegate achievement award in BPSMUN 2020, and several other participations in International and Interschool MUNs for years on end, Neiladityaa Suresh takes the honour of being the program director of DISMUN 2023. As someone who believes that a leader isn’t respected for his title. Instead, remembered for the guidance, integrity, and wisdom he poses and induces on his team. Under that ideology, Neiladityaa is ready and equipped with tools to combat “any and all” challenges and problems in his way, with the help of his team’s will and spirit.
Palak Mathur
Assistant Director Of Logistics
Palak is an IGCSE Year 11 student who is considerate, kind, and advantageous to her peers. She is a talented and balanced student who has a deep passion for painting, roller-skating, dancing, and taking part in school events. She has been a member of the Diyafah family for the past 6 years as she actively helps around the school whenever required. She strives to pursue her future career in the IT sector. Relatively, she is thrilled to be facilitating in the backdrops of this grand event as the Assistant director for Logistics and IT head. Palak has always been a participant of the MUN ever since it was first held within DIS. As someone who believes in the saying: “Remember to celebrate the milestone as you prepare for the road ahead”, this given opportunity will be deemed one of the major early milestones of her life as she does her best attempt to ensure the participants are up to date with modifications or updates generated in the DISMUN website.
