UNOOSA

Agenda

UNOOSA leads the global effort to promote the peaceful, safe, and sustainable use of outer space. As technology advances and space exploration grows, this committee plays a critical role in preventing the militarization of space, addressing space debris, and regulating the use of satellites and emerging technologies. It maintains the Register of Objects Launched into Outer Space, linking each space object to its responsible country, to promote transparency and accountability. Delegates work together to ensure that outer space remains a shared domain accessible to all nations, guided by principles of cooperation, transparency, and scientific advancement. Discussions often balance innovation with responsibility, ensuring that humanity’s reach for the stars benefits all of Earth.
