Secretariat - ADMUN 2.0

Shaurya Chandravanshi

Secretary General

From winning "Best Delegate" in his first ever MUN, to leading a bloc of 75 countries with 150 delegates at the UNHQ in NYC, Shaurya's MUN experience is indubitably exceptional. He has a passion in debate that has manifested itself in awards ranging from being the "Best Speaker" in the national circuit of Dubai Debate League, to winning 1st Champion Scholar at the World Scholar's Cup Hague Global Round.

This is compounded by his near-obsessive regard for research quality and accuracy, an attribute that has served him well academically, earning him the "Top In The World" award for the heavily research based subject of "Environmental Management." Always up for discussing topics ranging from ethics to video games, 'loquacious' wouldn't be an inaccurate way to describe our Secretary-General. He will not be serving as a chair for any of the committees this year, and will thus be an unbiased observer to regulate all proceedings in the conference. Always as friendly as can be, feel free to approach him and start a conversation about the event. But be warned, chances are you might just distract him from his job as he gets too excited talking about trade and competition.

Muhammad Annas

Deputy Secretary General

From an unbroken MUN win streak ranging from AUS to Harvard Model Congress, to being part of organizing several events in ADHS; from tutoring underprivileged students in his personal time, to photography that is published on dozens of platforms, he does it all. He likes to be known as a 'Jack of All Trades', and the dizzying breadth of his experience reflects this.

This Jon Snow look alike has a deep interest in science and technology, combined with a passion for people has led to the immense respect he enjoys in the communities he's involved with. As Deputy Secretary-General, and as President Chair of the Security Council, don't be surprised if you see the same person and assume he's the photographer, IT department, and Secretariat all rolled into one.

Adil Shaik

Head of Logistics & Finance

Adil Shaik is currently completing his A-Levels and plans to major in Economics and Finance. Having arranged numerous events in his own school, from sports meets to carnivals, logistics is his forte. With extensive experience in external events ranging from independently organized student meets, tech festivals, and internship experience with tutoring firms, Adil is the man who makes things happen.

Being involved in the MUN world for 3 years, Adil strongly believes that MUNs provide invaluable experience to students and help in honing the essential skills that will be required in their practical life. He believes that every individual can become a global citizen and deal with real world problems in the most diplomatic way possible. If you don't catch Adil organizing an event or debating, you are certain to catch him taking photos or solving math problems while listening to hip-hop. One thing you can be sure of, however, is that the most important prerequisite for even the most basic MUN conference is handled effectively by Adil: he will be organizing the food.

Sheetal Alex

Head of Communications

Sheetal Alex, a Malaysian Indian, currently an A-level student and an aspiring lawyer/actress, first stumbled across the world of MUN in the year 2017 when she participated in AUDMUN 3.0 in the FAO committee as the delegate of Bulgaria, and was introduced to the world of international relations and diplomacy.

Sheetal joined her first MUN thinking it would just another social event but as it turned out, she genuinely enjoyed the heated discussions and fiery crisis that occurred during committee sessions, and the opportunity to present solutions to pressing real world issues. Sheetal participated in 6 MUNs, chairing the second edition of ADMUN in 2019. She won the Best Researched Award at her last MUN; AUSMUN 2019. She recently interned at a law firm and conducted research into maritime law and the judicial system of the UAE. When she’s not participating at MUNs, you can probably find her binge-watching the latest K-dramas.

Veena Madhu

Programme Director

Veena Madhu is currently doing her A-Levels and has participated in 6 MUNs, 2 of them being ADMUN. She has been taking part in MUNs since the age of 14 which consequently sparked her interest in International Affairs and also public speaking. This led her to be part of a Toastmasters Gavel Club to help further enhance her speaking skills.

She has chaired both ADMUN 2018 and 2019 and enjoys managing committees. Veena plans to graduate in Computer science and Engineering, and aspires to be a software engineer.

Narayanan Vidya Vardhini

Head of Volunteers

Vidya has participated in multiple MUNs and has won medals for her research. She is also a core member of the school editorial Team and has been involved in the school’s venture into the Dubai Debate League and Gulf Debates. In the Hague Global round of World Scholar's Cup , her team came in sixth place overall. Outside of academics, you’ll likely find Vidya crying over Steven Universe while belting out the show’s soundtrack.

Vidya is also a huge fan of the American collegiate level volleyball matches and watches them religiously every season.

Bradley Carr

Director of Hospitality

From MUNs to talent shows, Bradley has created waves in every competition he has attended, cementing his profile as an "all-around good-guy", whilst infecting others with his boundless enthusiasm. With hard work and optimism, he tackles each job to produce high-quality results, similar to the work he has put into enhancing the enjoyability of the event.

Bradley is doing is his AS Level, and is interested in pursuing clinical psychology in Australia, with his interests being psychology, philosophy, politics and most importantly; subway cookies. He is an experienced MUN'er with 7 conferences and 3 awards under his belt. With him as the Director of Hospitality, an entertaining and engaging conference is to be expected with a maximum level of comfort.
