Head Chair
It has been an immense honour to serve as the Chief Advisor for ADMUN ‘22 and as the Head Chair for the United Nations Security Council. As the 13-year-old at my first MUN, the idea of being a diplomat and controlling a controlling future fascinated me. Soon I developed an interest in international relations and global politics, and I now view MUN as a platform to forge peace amidst chaos.
Our topic ‘The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina' is a conflict in its initial stages, and our mission at UNSC is to tackle the problem upfront through ‘diplomatic negotiations’. I look forward to dynamic discussions and the imminent war threats bound to occur in committee.

Well.....I did not plan on returning to high school once I had left it for good two years ago! Still, sometimes those bittersweet feelings seem a bit too tempting, especially when it is a MUN involved. Hi everyone, my name is Thenura Vichakshana Samararatne. I am a First-Year BA International Business student at Middlesex University, Dubai. I have been in the Model UN circuit for five years but have been in the eye of public speaking for 12.
The Model United Nations has been a platform of free speech, debating and strategic analysing, three key traits I have picked up throughout the years. This school allowed me to attend MUNs, and I am grateful to be back to chair. Believe me when I say this, as the Chair of the Security Council, expect the unexpected. If someone wanted to describe me in a MUN in one word, it would have to be unpredictable.
