This policy is not meant to invade privacy but to prioritize the collective safety and welfare of our school community. We appreciate the cooperation of students, parents, and staff in implementing this measure effectively. Examples of Prohibited Items are listed below, but not limited to the list. All items prohibited by law will be considered as harmful for the school environment. Mobile phones & Electronic Gadgets, Makeup items including foundation, lip gloss, perfumes, sprays (transparent sun creams & small deodorants/roll Ons are allowed), Chewing gum, Playing Cards & other toys, Computer & Electronic Games, White Ink, Sharp Objects & others that can cause bodily harm like pen knife, paper cutter, glue gun, Soft drinks, energy drinks & Junk Food, all other Inappropriate Materials: Any materials that are deemed inappropriate by the law Bag Check procedure: 1. School will conduct spot checks and periodic checks to ensure compliance with the bag check policy 2. Inspections will be carried out in a manner that respects students' privacy and adheres to school regulations. 3. Students will be asked to empty their pockets and bags in front of an inspection committee. 4. The inspection committee will not physically touch students’ or their belongings. 5. If prohibited items are found, they will be confiscated immediately. Consequences: 1. First-time offenses for bringing prohibited items like a mobile phone or make up item will result in confiscation for one month post which it will be handed over to the parent. 2. Repeat offenses will lead to the item being held until the end of the academic year post which it will be handed over to the parent. 3. If photos of teachers, students, or staff are found on a confiscated phone, the student will be given an incident slip and will be suspended from school. 4. The consequence may further depend on the severity of the violation with severe violations leading to accelerated action based on the Behaviour Policy Ladder.
