While they offer many benefits, their use in a school setting can also lead to distractions, disciplinary issues, and breaches of privacy. • Students are prohibited from carrying their mobile phones to school. • Students will be provided with alternative ways to communicate with their parents during school hours, such as access to a school phone in case of emergencies, to address any concerns about being unreachable. • If a student requires permission to bring their phone to school for a specific reason, their parents must communicate with the Form tutor and obtain consent. Once approved, the student must sign a letter committing to hand over their phone to the form tutor during morning registration. Failure to comply will result in confiscation of the device. Own Transport Students from Key Stage 4 & Sixth Form are permitted to get mobile phones, provided they get permission from KSH & follow the guidelines given under the mobile phone policy. Students using the school bus are not allowed to get phones to school. We appreciate the cooperation of students, parents, and staff in upholding these guidelines for the benefit of our school community. But if for unavoidable reasons a student needs to carry a mobile phone the following process is followed 1. The parent sends a mail to the Head of Year and Head of Key Stage.
