KINDERGARTEN

The Kindergarten is a very important step in the ladder of educational experience. The School aims to strike a balance between the natural development of 3 - 5 year olds through an organized, systematic, child-centered program, as well as a well defined syllabus-oriented curriculum.

Hence, through active learning and experience of the environment, the foundation is laid for the basic skills like listening, speaking, reading, writing English, and number concepts required for Mathematics. The basics of Arabic are also introduced at this level.

Working towards a holistic program, the children are provided learning opportunities in music, dance, art and craft, physical education and karate. Programs like Sing Along, Read Aloud, Choral Recitation, Show and Tell and the Annual Concert help to hone their social skills.

Regular field trips besides the optional extras (ballet, swimming and ice-skating) are some of the other activities in this section. The first step to Computers is also introduced during the Academic Year.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

This section of the school comprises of Year 1 to Year 6. At this stage the key areas of focus are spelling, vocabulary, sentence structure and concept attainment in the basic principles of Math and Science. Emphasis is also laid on study skills and systems in learning.

The method of instruction aims to provide rich and stimulating experiences in an Endeavour to foster curiosity and a fascination and interest in learning. This is done through discussions and by providing opportunities for experimentation, analysis and justification. The various field trips and project work conducted through the year work towards achieving this objective.

Competitions in Mental Math and creativity make learning very interesting for our children. Language teaching is enriched by the reading program, the spelling bee, elocution, read aloud and other competitions held through the year. Class Assemblies and the Annual School Concert provide training to each student to display his/her skills in language and histrionics.

Physical education also forms an integral part of their learning. They are given training in agility, developing muscular power and endurance, speed and strength. These skills are tested through the Power Kid Program. They are also introduced to the basic skills of various team and individual games.
